Eligibility:
These grants are for students studying in the United States who wish to study in Turkey or participate in exchange programs with Turkish institutions. These awards will be made to institutions, which will be
responsible for their distribution to qualified applicants who are US citizens. Individual applications will not be accepted. ITS welcomes applications from colleges and universities seeking to either expand or develop overseas programs in Turkey. The maximum award for this grant is $10,000.

Scholarship Description: The Institute of Turkish Studies (ITS) is a non-profit, private educational institution devoted solely to the advancement of training, research, and teaching in the field of Ottoman and modern Turkish Studies. ITS was established in 1983 and is currently located at the School of Foreign Service of Georgetown University in Washington, DC. The Institute is governed by a twelve-member Board of Governors whose members include prominent academic specialists in Ottoman and modern Turkish Studies, former State Department officials and US Ambassadors to Turkey, and distinguished individuals from the corporate world.
